Henry Hacker (1876-1973)
Born Leyton, England. Collected Coen district 1904, Cloncurry 1907. Entomology at Queensland Museum 1911-1929, Queensland Dept of Agriculture & Stcok 1929-1943. Excellent collector with great knowledge of habits and of Queensland insects. Mainly published on Hymenoptera and hemiptera. Foundation member of Ent. Soc. Qld, frequent exhibitor at meetings. President 1934. The picture shwon is a self portrait in his room at the Museum, September 1940.
