Alex Burns (1899-1995)

Born in melbourne and educated at Caufield Grammar School, Swinburne technical College and Melbourne University. Entomologyist, Commonwealth prickly pear Board, 1922-1925, Qld Bureau of Sugar Experimental Stations 1925-1930, Curator of Entomology at the National Museum of Victoria from 1944-1964.
