Location & Date Searches

This is a powerful search pattern that allows you to specify the exact place and time of your query.
Here are some of the ways in which different questions may be constructed:

  • An Exact Month; Across a Range of Months; An Exact Year; Across a Range of Years
  • From a specific location within Victoria
  • For a specific species of mammal or not all
Here are some sample queries that you could construct:
  • Produce a distribution map of the Agile Antechinus based on observations taken between June and October.
  • Or, produce a distribution map of the Agile Antechinus on records taken between 1960 and 1980.
  • Or, combine both of those queries and add a locality to produce a distribution map of the Agile Antechinus based on observations made between June and October and between 1960 and 1980 at Orbost (Try it!).
Note: You can construct any combination of the above but you do NOT have to select something from every menu!
