b        Encourage your child to participate, do not force them.

b        Encourage children to always play according to rules.

b        Focus on your child’s efforts and performance rather than winning or losing.

b        Teach children that an honest effort is as important as victory, so that the result of each game is accepted without undue disappointment.

b        Never ridicule or yell at a child for making a mistake or losing a game. Positive comments are motivational.

b        Children learn best from example.  Applaud good play by both teams and congratulate all participants on their performance regardless of the outcome.

b        Respect officials’ decisions and teach children to do likewise

b        If you disagree with an official, raise the issue through the coach / manager. Do not directly question or approach the official. Remember, officials give their time and effort for your child’s involvement.

b        Verbal and physical abuse are not acceptable on or off the field.

b        Our club is part of a church and in a church run competition, so you will understand that swearing and blasphemy is offensive, please refrain

b        Show appreciation for volunteer coaches / managers / officials.  Without them your child could not participate, be a volunteer for any needs

b        Respect officials’ decisions and teach children to do likewise.

b        Do not use foul language, sledge or harass players, coaches, managers or officials. Verbal and physical abuse are not acceptable on or off the field.

b        If you disagree with an official, raise the issue through the coach / manager of one of the teams. Do not directly question or approach the official.

b        Show appreciation for volunteer coaches / managers / officials.  Without them there would be no game.
